What is the SCCOGS 2025 Conference?
The 2025 SCCOGS conference and training event brings together leadership from all ten regional Council of Governments across the state. This is the one time each year when most board members, elected officials, and staff from the Councils gather under one roof to exchange ideas, sharpen skills, and coordinate on shared goals.
Attendees typically include city and county council members, state legislators, executive directors, and civic leaders; representing all 46 counties of South Carolina. The meeting offers a mix of educational workshops, networking opportunities, and sessions designed to strengthen collaboration across regions.
What is SCCOGS?
The South Carolina Councils of Governments (SCCOGs) are a network of 10 councils of Governments within the state of South Carolina working to positively influence the quality of life and economic development within their state. They provide creative solutions, technical assistance, secure funding, and advocates at the state and national level for improvements to the community.
The 10 government regions includes the Appalachian Council of Governments, Berkley Charleston Dorechester Council of Governments, Catawba Regional Council of Governments, Central Midlands Council of Governments, Lowcountry Council of Governments, Lower Savannah Council of Governments, Pee Dee Regional Council of Governments, Santee Lynches Regional Council of Governments, Upper Savannah Council of Governments, and Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments
