Join us for another enriching year at the 2026 ACCG Annual Conference, where county officials, state representatives, and local leaders will converge in April 23 –26 at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah/Chatham County. Under this year’s theme, “Embrace, Evolve, and Emerge,” the conference brings everyone together to conduct ACCG’s major business, including elections and policy discussions, while equipping attendees with practical tools to navigate today’s evolving landscape of local governance.

Through a combination of policy sessions, ACCG Lifelong Learning Academy courses, and collaborative discussions, attendees will gain valuable insights into leadership, governance, and community development. The conference also provides meaningful opportunities to connect with peers, state agencies, and vendors all focused on advancing Georgia’s 159 counties and supporting the leaders who serve them.

What is ACCG?

ACCG, which stands for Association County Commissioners Georgia, is a pivotal nonprofit entity representing Georgia’s county governments. Since its establishment in 1914 with just 19 charter county members, ACCG has grown to serve as the consensus-building, training, and legislative organization for all 159 counties in the state. Its core mission is to ensure that counties can effectively provide leadership, services, and programs to address the health, safety, and welfare needs of their residents. ACCG operates under specific objectives outlined in its bylaws, including developing a unified policy structure, advocating for cost-effective public service provision, defending county revenue bases, facilitating knowledge exchange among county officials, and providing essential information to legislative bodies for the development of beneficial legislation.

ACCG’s direct membership comprises the 159 counties of Georgia, represented by over 810 county commissioners. Additionally, it includes approximately 400 appointed county clerks, managers, administrators, attorneys, and over 80,000 full-time and part-time employees. ACCG’s inclusive approach extends to non-governmental entities, allowing private businesses and corporations to participate in various activities as ACCG Partners.
