GCEI 2026 Spring ConferenceWe are delighted to announce that CKH Group will be in attending the GCEI 2026 Spring Conference hosted in Jekyll Island, Georgia on February 1-3, 2026.
What is the 2026 GCEI Conference?
The GCEI 2026 Spring Conference is a professional education conference hosted by the Georgia Clerks Education Institute (GCEI), administered by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia. Held February 1–3, 2026, in Jekyll Island, Georgia, the conference is an opportunity for those required to complete a 15-hour mandated orientation training to do so, making this conference a key component of the broader certification pathway for clerks across the state.
It offers training sessions, workshops, and legislative and best-practice updates that help participants meet state-mandated education requirements and earn continuing education and certification credits. The event serves as both a compliance-driven training opportunity and a forum for professional development, networking, and peer collaboration within Georgia’s local government community. CKH Group is proud to be amongst those who will be in attendance and connecting with our community.

What is GCEI?
The Georgia Clerks Education Institute (GCEI) is a formal education and certification program designed to establish minimum professional standards and long-term professional goals for city and county clerks in Georgia. The GCEI Certificate Program is jointly sponsored by the Georgia County Clerks Association (GCCA) and the Georgia Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association (GMC/FOA) and is administered through the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
Under Georgia state law (O.C.G.A. §§ 36-1-24 and 36-45-20), individuals hired on or after April 1, 1992, who hold the title of clerk or perform clerk duties are required to complete a 15-hour mandated orientation training covering the core duties and functions of the role. This mandated training counts toward the 101 total hours required for full GCEI certification and is offered during the Fall and Spring GCEI conferences (i.e. the 2026 GCEI spring conference), making those conferences a key component of the broader certification pathway for clerks across the state.
