The 2026 SCAC Annual Conference & Institute of Government is the premier annual gathering of the South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC), bringing together county officials from across the state for four days of education, networking, and collaboration. Held July 27–30, 2026, at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms, the conference features leadership development, policy discussions, and training through SCAC’s Institute of Government to help county leaders better serve their communities.

What is SCAC (South Carolina Association of Counties)?
The South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to representing and supporting all 46 county governments across South Carolina. Since its founding, SCAC has worked to strengthen local government by advocating for counties at the state level while providing education, research, technical assistance, and leadership development for county officials and staff.
Through year-round training programs, conferences, legislative resources, and the Institute of Government, SCAC helps county leaders stay informed on evolving laws, regulations, financial management, and best practices so they can better serve their communities and operate more effective local governments.
