What is GFOASC?
GFOASC, or the Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina, is a nonprofit professional organization established in 1984 that serves government finance professionals across the state, including those working in state, county, and municipal governments, school districts, and related entities.
Its primary mission is to promote the professional competence and development of individuals responsible for managing public funds by offering continuing education programs, certification opportunities (such as the Certified Government Finance Officer designation), conferences, and networking resources, while also helping members stay informed on regulatory changes and best practices in governmental accounting and finance.
