In the pursuit of strengthening CKH Group’s audit team and expanding our areas of expertise, CKH Group has acquired the Michigan audit practice, Jason F. Clausen, P.C. As part of the acquisition, Jason F. Clausen, CPA, will join CKH Group as Audit Director, alongside Greg Silos, CPA, who joins as Audit Manager. We also welcome all of their talented auditors including Erin DeFour who specializes in IT audit, as well as Kelly Lauzon, Spencer King, Sean Gilmore, Scott Newel, and David Hagen. Also joining our team is their Executive Administrative Assistant – Cathie Podschwit.
The addition of this experienced team of 9 professionals, 4 of which are CPAs, enhances CKH Group’s ability to serve clients across a broad range of industries. They bring specialized capabilities in Professional Employer Organization (PEO) audits, Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting, peer reviews, and nonprofit audits.

Meet Jason Clausen:
Jason F. Clausen has been a licensed CPA since 2000. Since 1997, he’s been active in both public accounting as a CPA and in corporate accounting filling in the role as controller for a national PEO. He maintains a multitude of memberships and designations and is a published author on SOC reporting, bringing a wealth of knowledge to CKH Group’s expanding audit team.

Jason F. Clausen, PC is a CPA firm serving clients throughout the United States, specializing in audit, assurance, and compliance services for organizations operating in complex and regulated environments. Their experience includes nonprofit organizations, Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), and CPA firms requiring peer review services. The firm provides practical, structured solutions that help clients meet compliance requirements and strengthen internal controls. Under this acquisition they join us as a new office location – CKH Michigan.
2. Why did CKH acquire Jason F. Clausen, PC?
Like any growing firm, we’re always looking for opportunities to strengthen our team and expand our expertise. When we met Jason and his team, it quickly became clear that we shared the same values and approach to serving clients. They bring exceptional technical knowledge in several specialized audit areas, and just as importantly, they care about their clients the same way we do. As our client needs grow, so too does the necessity to grow to match it- and this opportunity was the perfect fit.
3. Will I still work with the same team/individual?
Yes! Clients can anticipate no changes to their existing point of contact as a result of this acquisition. Jason F Clausen, PC’s current engagement team, including Jason, will remain in place, and there will be no immediate changes to day-to-day communication or client service. Clients of both CKH and Jason F Clausen will continue working with the professionals they know while benefiting from the additional resources and specialized expertise available throughout this change.
4. I am an existing client of Jason F. Clausen, P.C. Will my fees change?
No. Any pre-existing fee arrangements will be honored according to your contract. Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible and benefit our shared clients as much as possible. We appreciate the support of our clients and seek to bring more value to you through this acquisition.
