In 2019, CKH established a presence in Germany with the creation of CKH Deutschland, led by Dirk Baumgardt. In his current position as EMEA Tax Director at a globally Fortune 500 company, Dirk is responsible for managing all related tax restructuring, transfer pricing, tax audits, VAT, tax compliance, tax reporting and merger & acquisitions within the region. Rounding out his vast skillset, Dirk is also highly versed in foreign tax planning and cash initiatives.
After being exposed to the CKH model while working with Newell, Dirk agreed to be the principal of CKH GmBH and lead our initiative to provide our clients with a robust German-centric European solution to their tax and statutory needs.
With over twenty five years of experience in accounting and taxation, Dirk brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and valuable expertise to the team, with a particular emphasis on the EMEA region.
His prior work experience with PwC, Fresenius Group, and Newell Brands has helped him develop a specialty in managing tax affairs of multinational corporations in Europe. Dirk is a German Certified Tax Accountant (Steuerberater). He has diplomas in both Fiscal Tax Affairs and Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen, as well as a master’s degree in International Marketing.
When Dirk is not in the office, you can usually find him at the football (soccer) pitch coaching his sons’ teams or the field hockey court supporting his daughter.
